Hello and welcome to our church website! I hope that you will enjoy browsing around and that all you want to know about the church will be accessible through the site.
Falkirk Free Church is situated on Beaumont Drive, New Carron Village, very close to the Old Carron Iron Works, in a beautiful, modern, spacious building with a very flexible room arrangement.
The congregation was set up in 1990 and met initially in The Christian Centre, in the middle of Falkirk. When the congregation’s own savings and denominational funds were sufficient, a new church building was built in 1998/99 and extended in 2004 to accommodate an increasing attendance, and especially to provide additional space for a Crèche, Sunday School and Youth Group Activities. The congregation enjoys a good representation across the whole age range and draws its members from Bonnybridge, Grangemouth, Larbert, Livingston and Stirling as well as from Falkirk itself.
Sunday worship services are at 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. and there is a meeting for prayer and Bible Study on Wednesday evenings at 7.30 p.m. There are also house groups, a winter lecture series and a variety of Christian training events.
There is a light fellowship lunch on the last Sunday of most months and there is ample provision for visitors.
The congregation is very mission-focussed, has regular mission events and supports a variety of overseas missions in Africa, India, Peru and Central/Eastern Europe, including schools, hospitals and orphanages.
A mothers’ and toddlers’ group with about 30 children meets in the church every Monday and Friday as part of our service to the local community.
Similarly a number of family support groups, mainly for victims of substance addiction/abuse, meet in the church on two nights a week.
The congregation offers a very warm welcome to all visitors.
