Mums and Tots 

10th Anniversary, 2009

It was with a great sigh of relief that we saw the day of the 31st of January was dry!  This was the day set aside for the 10th anniversary of the Mums and Tots group, which meets in the church building.  Much prayer and preparation had gone into making it a day to remember.

It was a privilege to welcome over two hundred parents and children to the church on that day, and to renew fellowship with many.  Among them were those who attend at the present time, and also those who were with us on day one of Mums and Toddlers.  We had, therefore, the challenge of catering for children from a few months old to twelve years of age!

There was a bouncy castle, which was enjoyed by most age groups, table tennis, play station, Wii - all enjoyed by the older children too.  The creche was open for the little ones, together with a slide and soft play blocks.  We were fortunate to be able to enlist the help of some ladies who did tattoos on both girls and boys, together with face painting.  Some of the girls had their nails painted too, as did one or two boys!

The mums and dads were quite happy to sit and enjoy tea and cakes and to renew friendships they had made, some a long time ago.

It was certainly a day to remember, and without the help and support of the church fellowship it would not have been possible.  Hazel, Joanna and Joyce were able to spend time talking to mums they had not seen for years!

On leaving, all the children and their families were given a small gift, including a bookmark detailing the times of all our church activities.  It is hoped we will see many of them again.

Dates for your Diary

MUMS and TODDLERS TENTH ANNIVERSARY - 1999-2009 - Sat 31st Jan 2009

We are having a fun afternoon to mark our tenth anniversary of running our mums & toddlers group. It will take place at the church on Sat 31st January between 2-4pm. There will be a bouncy castle, face painting and more. All past members are warmly welcomed to pop in and catch up with Joyce & the team and with old friends. All family and friends welcome.

 

 

Our busy mums' and toddlers' group runs twice a week on a Monday and a Friday. Monday is from 12.30pm till 2:30pm and Friday runs from 9.30am until 11.30am. We normally have about 15 - 18 toddlers along with their parent/carer at each session. The children are aged from 0-3yrs but older brothers and sisters are also welcome.  

   The session starts off with one hour of free play. Then there is a snack and juice for the children and tea or coffee with biscuits for the adults. There is some more time for free play before tidy-up time 15 mins before the end. The lively and popular singing time finishes off the session.
