Nigerian Evening

A refreshing and joyful aspect of Falkirk Free Church life over the last few months has been the presence of a large contingent of Nigerian Christians. These friends have worshipped with us over the months, while they have been working at Grangemouth.

The African group arrived in the UK on the 16th December 2007, returning to Nigeria on the 18th of May 2008. To wish them all well as they return to Nigeria we organised a special evening during which the folks at Falkirk Free Church were introduced to some wonderful Nigerian hymn singing, followed by an international meal and various presentations.

The spokesman for our Nigerian friends expressed warm words of appreciation for the welcome and sincere fellowship experienced by and extended to them all by the congregation of Falkirk Free Church. We for our part have felt greatly enriched by the presence of our new friends, who served as a visible reminder that God is calling people from every tribe, nation and tongue to worship him.
