(from a letter from Richard Hardy, Care for the Family)

"Friends and Heroes is an exciting cartoon series set in 1st century AD - retelling Bible stories that are being 'passed on' by early believers. So children will hear these stories in a lively and engaging way, and find out about the people who helped to change our world.

When?
The scheduling by the BBC means that every primary school and therefore every primary child in the UK could see these stories. The plans, subject to change, are to broadcast the episodes on Tuesdays up until 11th December, usually at 10.45am.

Lesson plans and pupil worksheets

And if you're a teacher, there are lesson plans which have been created to complement the national syllabus guidelines for ages 7-11 throughout the UK. These lessons are available to download (in PDF format) and you can print off as many as you want for your class to use.

Be sure to watch it – and, if you like what you see, please tell your friends, local school, and the BBC.

And children will love their interactive websitewww.friendsandheroes.tv

You can find out more at www.friendsandheroes.com where you'll also find details of the DVDs which are available now."
