David Robertson at Stirling University - "Debating Delusions - Dawkins and Jesus"

Thursday 22 October - 7.30pm at Logie Lecture Theatre, Stirling University.

An opportunity to hear response to Richard Dawkins popular arguments about God and religion and join an open discussion with David Robertson, author of "The Dawkins letters" - a popular rebuttal of "The God Delusion".

There is a Transylvanian Christian singing group called Talentum coming to Olivet Evangelical church in Falkirk this Tuesday 15th September at 7.30pm.

Induction to Livingston Free Church

The induction of the Reverend Nigel Anderson to Livingston Free Church will take place d.v. on Saturday 4 July at 2 pm. The Moderator of Presbytery, Reverend Neil MacMillan (Kirkcaldy) will preach and preside.

The congregation are looking forward to sharing this occasion with friends from near and far, and all are assured of a warm welcome.

Safari with a difference

Church members Anne and Ken Mizon recently spent three weeks in Uganda and rather than it being a sightseeing holiday their time was spent looking after a guest house that is operated by Aim International, formerly Africa Inland Mission. The guest house is called Matoke Inn, matoke being a particular type of banana which is part of the local staple diet and is eaten cooked. more>>

Mums and Toddlers - 10th Anniversary, 2009

It was with a great sigh of relief that we saw the day of the 31st of January was dry! This was the day set aside for the 10th anniversary of the Mums and Tots group, which meets in the church building. Much prayer and preparation had gone into making it a day to remember.

It was a privilege to welcome over two hundred parents and children to the church on that day, and to renew fellowship with many.

Art and Mental Health 

People in Forth Valley recovering from mental health problems were recently urged to pick up a paintbrush or pen, and express their feelings through artwork. The finished products were then to be selected to appear in a mixed-media exhibition “Out of the Blue” which charts mental health recovery in words and pictures. It will tour Forth Valley from April l0th 2008.

Women for Mission Project 2007 -08

Every year the WFM Committee organise a fund raising project. In recent years over £100,000 has been raised for projects in India, Europe, South Africa and South America. This year, WFM are raising funds to help five different organisations provide Christian literature material.
