Trailblazers

Trailblazers at Falkirk Free Church

The Trailblazers children's club has been running for most of this session (2008-2009). It is a club aimed at primary age boys and girls and runs from 6.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. on Thursdays at the church. The hour together is packed with fun and learning. It whizzes past very quickly, and seems to be enjoyed by all.

Trailblazers activities include a games session followed by juice and a biscuit. We then watch a DVD containing a Bible message. This year we're using Friends and Heroes. Following the DVD we gather around tables in twos and threes and work our way through some questions and activities based on the content of the DVD, and the Bible passage it comes from.

We are blessed with enough leaders to work in these small groups. This allows each child the opportunity to talk about what they have seen and heard not only with each other, but with an adult, and to respond to the questions. This, we feel, is the heart of the club's activities.

The club finishes with a prayer at around 7.00 p.m.

It is our prayer that boys and girls will come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ through the Trailblazers, and grow up to serve him with their lives.
